Wow!
2009 went as fast as it all happened. And the last few weeks were busier than ever with presents being wrapped, tree trimmed to the nines, food gorged upon, ball dropped, and the New Year welcomed with open arms. (There's just something about a even-numbered year being that much better...)
We wanted to take this time to recap the good and the definitely awesome of what 2009 meant to Charm City Bride:
Waaaaaayyy back in March, Charm City Bride was created. No more than just the few amazing family and friends that are always there, read the blog. But somehow CCB managed to meet and greet, spread by word of mouth, and become a wedding blog brides excitingly send their real weddings to, ask for advice, and support other brides in their adventure. It's always nice to hear "I wish I would've had this blog before I got married last year". Hopefully Baltimore area brides won't have that problem this year.
We've also become friends with some great Charm City vendors like Ellen Frost from Local Color Flowers, had amazing giveaways from vendors like LoveLifeImages, spread the word of some beautifully detailed weddings like Mia's, and gathered up some pretty cool inspiration boards for brides and their weddings of all themes and colors - the Rustic Farm Inspiration post is still one of the most highly viewed inspiration boards, and I'm hoping a family friend got use from the History & Horticulture board I created for her way back in May.
We've even been featured on some pretty awesome sites as well - a shout out to Jill Myers Photography, Juliette Smith's Garter Girl blog here, here, and here, and Up-Do's for I-Do's showed some love too.
One BIG milestone we managed to hit back in early autumn was getting to 10,000 pageviews - which, as an update, we've doubled since October and now have hit over 21,000 since March! Go us!
And although we've been slow the past few weeks (ok, being honest- for over a month now), we have some pretty awesome things to share in the near future. Charm City Bride is spreading out, finding new stuff, and new stuff is surprisingly finding us. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and has a wonderful year to come!
